Andrews discusses his familly background and life in Wisconsin. He details his experiences in the United States Navy, including enlistment, basic training, specialist sonar training in Florida, and foreign service in Iceland and Japan. He describes life in Iceland and Vietnam, where he was stationed during the war. He also discusses his marriage and his education at the University of Wisconsin--Whitewater and the University of Wisconsin--La Crosse.
